How to Apply

Individuals may register by qualifying for and passing the Architect Registration Exam or by qualifying for a reciprocal registration from another state.

• Registration by Examination
• Registration by Reciprocity (for applicants who are already licensed in another state)

Individuals who have forfeited their registration may, under certain conditions, apply for reinstatement of their registration.

If you are already a Texas Candidate and have passed your final section of the exam, you will be receiving instructions by email or regular mail on how to get your license number. If you have questions, please contact the Examination Coordinator (exams@tbae.state.tx.us)
