Committees

The Board has established four committees to expedite the business of the board.

• The Rules Committee reviews the rules and proposes amendments and new rules for the Board to consider at its regularly-scheduled meetings.  Check here for committee meeting dates.
• The Executive Committee provides review and guidance to agency staff as directed by the board chair on such topics as strategic planning.
• The Joint Advisory Committee was formed to meet statutory requirements for TBAE and the Board of Professional Engineers which require the two agencies to address issues concerning the overlap between architecture and engineering and between landscape architecture and engineering, as it pertains to the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The committee is comprised of members from both boards and from the general public.   Check here for JAC meeting dates.
• Executive Director Review Committee was formed to evaluate the annual performance of the agency's executive director.

The following members were appointed to the committees at the June 25-26, 2009 board meeting:

• Rules Committee: Diane Steinbrueck (Chair), Lew Vassberg, Chuck Anastos, and Brandon Pinson.
• Executive Committee: Alfred Vidaurri (Chair), Chuck Anastos, Lew Vassberg, and Jimmy Walker
• Joint Advisory Committee on the Practices of Engineering, Architecture and Landscape Architecture (JAC): Alfred Vidaurri, Chuck Anastos, Diane Steinbrueck, and Dan Hart as the public member.
• Executive Director Review Committee: Alfred Vidaurri (Chair), Rosemary Gammon, Chase Bearden, and Bert Mijares, Jr.
